The Green Health and Beauty Company, Ltd. (GHB) was established on March18, 2020 by two founders of the startup, Soontorn Piromsartkoon, DBA, as Founder and President, and Kiattawee Choowongkoomon, PhD , as Co-Founder and Vice-President. However, the two founders realized that they need to put onboard an expert scientist who can implement the product idea of developing a cosmetic product. Thus, they invited Supaporn Seetaha, PhD. as the Director of GHB Laboratory. Thus, the two founders and the GHB Director of the GHB laboratory composed a competent and strong management team to bring the company to its goal of commercialization of cosmetic products which are described as products which are applied to the body, especially the face, to improve its appearance.
The startup company was able to use the laboratory of Kasersart University in Bangkok, Thailand, to perform the experimental trials to achieve a proof of concept of cosmetic products that are safe, healthy, and environment-friendly. This was achieved soon and then the team proceeded to get a better output of a face cream (See the news releases in www.Greenhealth.com, the GHB website). Currently, the company is about the produce the prototypes of the cosmetic products but needs venture capital funding to proceed to this phase. Hence, the team prepares this business plan which provides information needed by the potential investor to make a decision to invest in the company. The two founders each has a 45% shareholding while 10% of the share goes to the GHB staff. However, they are willing to give an investor an equity stake proportionate to the amount of investment that the investor will provide.
The business plan shows that over the next two years, the company will experience its breakthrough with the production of prototypes, then following the research planning, full commercialization will happen on the 5th year or earlier. The investor likewise is given the information on risks inherent in a pioneering company which aims to produce the environmentally-friendly and sustainable cosmetics products At the same time, an exit strategy after three years is offered to the potential investor.
